Next Generation Ministry Blog

I've learned much from working with middle schoolers: their unending energy, their passionate drive, their want for authentic community...these are all things to which I wish more adults would pay attention.  

This past weekend, 300 Middle School students from around the state gathered in Frankenmuth for the Michigan District Jr. High Youth Gathering.  Trust me when I say, it was full of energy - not only from the students, but also Pastor Bill Yonker, Swen & Dean and bible study leaders!  All this energy was focused on the truth that in Christ, God owns us.  That we have been purchased by Him, for the mission and for such a time as this.

Trinity sent 24 (including four crazy adult leaders) passionate Jesus followers to Frankenmuth; not only to hear about Christ Jesus, but to also be His hands and feet. Our students served through several different mission projects around Frankenmuth, including shoveling mulch and playing games with senior residents.
